Saskatchewan’s job market is among the strongest in Canada boasting one of the country’s lowest unemployment rates. It’s agricultural and resource-based economy continues to experience a high demand for qualified engineers, technicians, equipment operators, and mechanics. Saskatchewan’s PotashCorp is the worlds largest potash producer, one of the world’s leading uranium produces and also mines coal and diamonds.
The oil and gas industry is also a major employer in the province employing engineers, heavy equipment operators, welders, pipe-fitters, heavy-duty equipment mechanics and other skilled labourers. Most of the Saskatchewan oil jobs are located mostly in the west around Lloydminster and south of the province around Swift Current, Weyburn and Estevan.
