The Ian Martin Group has partnered with our client, an exciting Vancouver-based tech IC company that has developed a novel chip-based near-field wireless power transfer system. They are integrating their system into solar panels to significantly increase solar power output for residential systems. And they're not stopping there… solar power is only one of the technology applications they will be pursuing.

What you'll be doing

As the Analog IC Design Engineer your primary goal The mission of this role is the design, verification and validation of power management ICs that optimize and restructure solar panel systems to the world's largest and fast-growing clean tech platforms.

Practically speaking, you will:

* Carry out full IC design cycle which spans circuit design and verification.
* Innovative transistor-level design of analog and mixed-signal circuits for new and derivative smart power management functions for renewable energy source applications.
* Work with product design lead and layout engineer on layout implementation, DFM and Reliability checks, and sign-off for successful tape out.
* Brief the company management on a regular basis on goals and achievements.

The Details

This is a full-time permanent position, offering a competitive annual salary. Their office is based in Vancouver. Relocation assistance is available if you are currently living outside of the Vancouver area. Ideally, you will be based in Vancouver but a remote work option for the right candidate can be discussed.

What you'll bring

* 5+ years industry experience with design in BCD process and CMOS process technologies: low-voltage CMOS (1V-5V), high-voltage DMOS (28V-50V) and bipolar, isolation constrain for power management circuits.
* Industry design experience in one or several of these areas: Highly efficient DC/DC, DC/AC converters, and power converter control loop design for power management, MPPT.
* Hand-on experience in the execution of the full power IC design cycle
