Reporting to the Manager and working under the supervision or direction of regulated health professionals, the Care Team Assistant (CTA), provides direct, hands-on care based on the needs of the patient and program/or unit. As a member of the collaborative care team, the CTA is responsible for supporting patients' activities of daily living (AOL) and instrumental activities of daily living (IADL). The CTA also reinforces patient and family teaching according to established guidelines and the plan of care


* Continuing Care Assistant Program or equivalent as determined by the employer.
* Provincial certification from the Department of Health and Wellness
* BCLS or CPR Certification
* Demonstrates effective listening skills.
* Communicates effectively both verbally and in writing.
* Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (Initial certification with yearly .5 day recertification)
* Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation must maintain recertification based on employee's expense (.5 certification with yearly .5 day recertification)

Hours of Work

* Long assignment, Full-time position; 75 hours bi-weekly
* Beginning May 10, 2021 until April 30, 2022

Salary Information

$18.6678 - $20.1919/hourly
