System Architect:

There is a rapidly growing need to de-identify data to solve some of healthcare's most challenging problems.

As this need grows, so do concerns over privacy of protected health information (PHI). To address this, organizations must de-identify personal information using a risk-based approach that goes beyond simple masking techniques in order to produce a high quality dataset that meets their specific needs for secondary use like sophisticated research and analytics.

Privacy Analytics, an IQVIA company, allows healthcare organizations to quickly and easily apply a responsible de-identification methodology that ensures individual privacy and legal compliance.

As an experienced System Architect, you have development, SaaS architecture and leadership experience. You are comfortable leading an educated team, have led frequent deployments and can provide technology and system options while helping an organization reach alignment.

We are looking for a talented System Architect to;

  • Provide an understanding of Cloud Architecture offerings, workflow
  • Strong knowledge and experience with DevOps
  • Containerization / orchestration experience
  • PaaS selection
  • Able to create a roadmap so an organization can become efficient effective in cloud architecture.
  • Drive cloud application design, development, deployment, management and monitoring, following best-practices
  • Develop reliable, scalable and high-performing application code in one of the following languages/frameworks: Java, OSGI, Spring Cloud, JavaScript / Angular / Node.js
  • Work in a cross-functional team alongside talented Software Engineers, and in close collaboration with DevOps and QA engineers
  • Stay up-to-date with evolving cloud technologies and development best-practices including open source software.
  • Oversee coding standards and best practices for Cloud
  • Mentor colleagues within the team
  • Work in an Agile Environment

Our ideal candidate:

  • BSc or MSc in Computer Science or related field
  • Substantial experience in the SW Engineering industry, proficient in Java and SQL
  • Extensive working knowledge in a major cloud environment (AWS or Azure) and SaaS Enterprise Application development
  • Strong hands-on technical and architectural experience with cloud technologies, including private and public platforms
  • Deep knowledge of Security requirements for Cloud environments and applications is key as we operate in the privacy field
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience working in an Agile environment using Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Delivery (CD)·
  • Proven ability to drive automation at all levels from testing to deployment.
  • Capable of navigating technical and functional ambiguity and making progress with under-defined requirements
  • Experience refactoring code with high-availability, scale and production in mind.
  • Familiar with Python, Unix/Linux, Git, Jenkins, Junit.

Knowledge of these technologies would be considered a strong asset:
Databricks, HDFS, Azure DW, Redshift, Hadoop Cloudera/MapR/Hortonworks,Elastic MapReduce on AWS, Apache Spark, Hive/Impala and HDFS, NoSQL databases
